Usage Steps:
1. Unfasten the compression belt, then choose the appropriate hernia pad (concave oval, convex oval or circle-shaped) to attach with the hook and loop at one end of the belt.
IMPORTANT: It is highly advisable to consult with your doctor to ensure you select the correct hernia pad.
2. Lay the infant or toddler flat on their back, gently massage any protruding umbilical hernia back into the abdomen, then position the hernia pad over the hernia and press it firmly.
3. Wrap the compression belt around the infant or toddler's belly, fasten it snugly and securely. Make sure it's not too tight or too loose, just enough to prevent the hernia from popping out. While wearing it, regularly check if the hernia pad is securely covering the hernia area.
4. If the belly button hasn't fully healed, it's recommended to use medical cotton (gauze) pads to cover the belly button before using this product. This hernia belt should be worn for 3 to 24 hours a day unless your doctor prescribes a different schedule.
